I give back to the community by donating a portion of every "Home Sale" to Angels' Arms. I am blessed to be able to do so.
I have been blessed to be able to donate a portion of every home sale to Angels Arms. Whether working with the Buyer or Seller, a part of my net proceeds goes directly to help a Foster Child in an Angels Arms Home.
1 Mission
Angels’ Arms is dedicated to providing and supporting loving homes for foster children by keeping brothers and sisters together within a nurturing family until a forever home is found.
500+ Children
Over the past eighteen years, Angels’ Arms has served over 500+ children. The number of children living in the Angels’ Arms homes fluctuates, but each home can accommodate up to 6 children at any given time.
13 Homes
Angels’ Arms has 13 homes located throughout St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Charles County.
200+ Volunteers
Angels’ Arms is blessed with over 200 volunteers who donate their time and efforts in various capacities. Volunteers are the backbone of all of our fundraising events and programs.
After serving as a foster parent herself for several years, frequently receiving calls to care for sibling groups, Bess Wilfong learned that fostering is an extremely difficult calling and that foster parents and children can benefit tremendously through community involvement.
Foster children deserve the chance to be children, to be part of a family, and to live up to their potential. To achieve this, Angels’ Arms provides homes, resources and emotional support to experienced foster parents so that they can raise the standard of care for foster children. We involve the community by giving them opportunities to engage in these children’s lives and to support the foster parents.
Angels' Arms has served more than 500 children over the past 15 years, including 129 sibling groups and currently has 13 foster homes in the St. Louis region.
Multiple children and sibling groups have been adopted while living in an Angels’ Arms home.
100% of Angels' Arms children have graduated from high school, compared to a 50% rate for foster kids statewide.
Our Life Launch program works one-on-one with youth from 14-21+ to assist them with life skills, career exploration and mentoring, in addition to providing a transitional living space to foster youth who are aging out of the system, preparing them for independence.
Angels’ Arms receives NO state or federal funding and is supported 100% by the community.
